If your pet is missing, you should call the pound immediately at 701-232-7312 to see if it has been recovered. The pound holds animals for three business days before turning them over to animal adoption agencies. Euthanizing is a last resort and only undertaken when adoption agencies are full and unable to accept any additional pets.
If you are able to recover your cat or dog from the pound, you should expect to pay a $35 impound fee plus a boarding fee for each day the pound cared for your animal. If your pet is not licensed, you will also pay a $25 penalty fee. Also, when picking up animals from the pound, you will need to provide a proof of rabies vaccination.
