CodeRED is an automated notification system the city can use to call up to 60,000 phone numbers per hour with a recorded message. CodeRED can reach Fargo residents by residential phone, business phone or cell phone. It will make three attempts to contact citizens and will leave messages in voicemail boxes and on answering machines. Emergency managers can send a message to the entire city or to a selected area.
