MATBUS Fixed Route

Purpose of Service: Buses that travel on predetermined or fixed routes on regular schedules in Fargo, West Fargo, and Moorhead.
Type of Service: Ramp equipped buses with kneeling capability.
Hours of Service: 6:15am to 10:15pm, Monday through Friday. 7:15am to 10:15 on Saturday.
Scheduling Requirements: Printed bus schedules identify when the buses will be on specific routes.
Eligibility Requirements: Discount fare for people with disabilities, people age 60 and older, and Medicare card holders. Show the driver a Medicare card (red, white and blue card) or special user card for a discounted fare. Applications for a special user card are available at MAT (502 NP Avenue, Fargo, ND 58102).
Cost of ride (as of January 1, 2012):
Adult single ride: $1.50                
Adult 30-Day Pass: $40
Discount single ride: 75 cents         
Discount 30-Day Pass: $26
Youth single ride: 75 cents
Child (birth to preschool): Free with adult
Disabled veterans with “service connected” picture ID: Free on Moorhead MAT fixed route buses only
NDSU, MSUM, MSCTC, and Concordia U-Pass: Free with current college ID
North Dakota Medicaid: No
Minnesota Medicaid: No
Cost to bring personal care attendant (PCA): No cost if determined necessary by a medical professional. Approval for a PCA must be designated on the rider’s special user card.
Service Area: Within the city limits of Fargo, West Fargo, and Moorhead
Driver Assistance: Required to secure wheelchair or scooter in vehicle
Type of Vehicles:  30 or 35 foot low-floor buses
