Running for city office

If you are interested in running for the Office of Mayor or the Fargo City Commission, you must submit a petition with 300 signatures of qualified voters or pay a $100 filing fee. You must also complete a Statement of Interest form that details a variety of information about yourself and your spouse.

Candidates for City Commission and Mayor must meet the requirements to vote in an election; they must also have six months of continuous residency in Fargo.
