Phase V Restrictions - Drought Emergency
Essential uses: No restrictions for fire fighting and medical use. Hydrant flushing to a water truck for reuse.
Water Treatment Utility: Mandatory Best Managment Practices (BMPs) for water conservation. Initiate public education program which is more intense than Phase II. Maximization of available emergency supplies. Implement drought surcharges to meet escalated drought expenses and motivate increased conservation. Surcharges shall be imposed in accordance with Commission resolution.
Other city departments: Mandatory BMPs for water conservation.
Residential: No outdoor watering. All water waste subject to fines and/or delivery restrictions and/or shutoff.
Commercial: No outdoor watering. All water waste subject to fines and/or delivery restrictions and/or shutoff.
Industrial: No outdoor watering. Mandatory shutdown of nonessential operations. May require limited hours of use. All water waste subject to fines and/or delivery restrictions and/or shutoff.
Landscape watering: No landscape watering.
Golf courses: No golf course watering.
Vegetable gardens: No vegetable garden watering.
Other outdoor uses: No outdoor watering.
Retail and commercial vehicle washing facilities: No retail or commercial vehicle washing.
Construction: No city water used for construction. Strict enforcement.
