Large item disposal

Items such as building material, furniture, concrete and automotive parts, etc. will be collected by Solid Waste crews for a fee on a call-in basis only. The fee is based on the amount and weight, and is added to the homeowner's utility bill. Contact the Division of Solid Waste at (701) 241-1449 for collection details.  If you live in an apartment, you should contact your landlord to inquire about disposal of large items.

If you have extra bags outside of your cart that you'd like our staff to collect, please call the Division of Solid Waste to schedule the collection (701) 241-1449.  The cost is $3 per bag for bags up to 33 gallons in size.

Large items may also be hauled to the Sanitary Landfill for a fee.

Finally, during Cleanup Week, two appliances per household can be set out for collection. Doors should be removed.
