Residential garbage collection

New collection routes begin Jan. 6

*Garbage and recycling collection routes will change starting Jan. 6, 2014. These changes will effect about 65% of Fargo residents. Please review the new garbage collection routes by visiting the "Garbage collection days" link on the right column of this webpage.

Fargo uses an automated, variable rate system and provides all residential garbage collection within Fargo city limits.  The fee for this service ranges from $6-$14 per month depending on the size of the garbage cart (requires Adobe Reader) you choose. The fee is charged to your utility bill.

New residents should call (701) 241-1449 to receive information on our services.

Garbage carts should be placed at the end of your driveway or in the alley by 8 a.m. on your collection day and removed from the boulevard by 6 p.m. the same day.

Roll-off dumpsters  are available for your home improvement projects.
