In-Kind Donations
If you are interested in donating food, clothing, furniture or other items, the following homeless service organizations accept in-kind donations. All non-profit homeless service providers accept financial donations to further the mission of their organization.
New Life Center - The New Life Center collects clothing, furniture, small household appliances and other household items for their thrift store. The items are sold to the public and the proceeds are used to support the programs and services of the organization. These items are also given away at no cost to homeless and indigent people in the community. Literally thousands of articles of clothing, furniture and other items are given away annually. The new life center thrift store is the largest referral source for social service agencies to send their clients to receive the above mentioned items. There is a free pick up service for your donations or you may drop them off at 1902 3rd avenue north in fargo. Call the new life center at 235-4453 for more information.
Churches United for the Homeless - Churches United accepts donations of supplies, food, furniture, and clothing. Please call in advance of bringing clothing or furniture as storage within the building is limited. Drop off at 1901 1st Avenue N, Moorhead.
Dorothy Day Homeless Shelter and Food Pantry - Donations of food, clothing and household items are welcome anytime and are tax-deductible. Drop off at 714 8th St. S., Moorhead or call 218-233- 5763.
Gladys Ray Shelter - The Gladys Ray Shelter keeps adequate supplies of much needed items.
