Get the Basics!

Are you new to computers and want to learn the basics of word processing or find better ways to search the Internet? Take part in a computer basics class. Classes generally last ninety minutes and pre-registration is required due to limited seating. Register online or by calling the Main Library at 241-1492 or the Dr. James Carlson Library at 476-5980.

Computer Basics I 

This 90-minute, hands-on class will teach you the basics of computers and using the mouse.  Students will receive hands-on instruction on basic concepts such as desktop, windows, start menu and beginning internet skills. Pre-registration is required. Registration opens April 21.

Computer Basics II

Students will receive hands-on instruction in word processing techniques such as copy and paste, menus and how to save documents. There will also be some instruction on beginning internet skills. Pre-registration is required. Registration opens May 5. Prerequisites: Computer Basics I or mouse experience is required.
