Each year in the United States, on average, more than 200,000 people are hospitalized and 36,000 people die from seasonal flu complications.

H1N1 Testing: In general, only those who are hospitalized are being tested for H1N1.


Medications: Most patients are not being given medications for influenza except those who are very sick or hospitalize, or those at risk for complications including: pregnant women, those with chronic health conditions and young children.
