20' height x 15' width, white flowers in early spring, yellow fall color, hardiness zone 3.
This is an excellent small stature tree for North Dakota. The foliage has a glossy green color throughout the growing season, followed by a yellow fall color. This tree will be one of the first to flower, usually in late April.
There are a fair number of Prairie Gem Pear on South University Drive (between 32nd Avenue South ad 40th Avenue South); most are on each side of the street lights.
